Sole proprietorship registration takes place in the Djiboutian Office of Intellectual and Commercial Property (ODPIC)

The sole proprietorship registration procedure is as follows:
- Business name reservation
- Documents collection
- Collection of the Criminal records of the business manager
- Registration and filling out the business documents, which are then announced in the newspaper La Nation

Taxation system in Djibouti
The Value Added Tax (VAT) in Djibouti is 10%.
The taxation system applies to any business exceeding the income of DJF 10 million.
